Dr. Sarika Vadrevu

Dr. Sarika Vadrevu obtained a Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) in Clinical Psychology from Adler University in Vancouver. She is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (#18108). Her training included a year-long pre-doctoral internship at Sam Houston State University, Texas, USA. Prior to moving to Canada, Dr. Vadrevu attained a Master of Science in Clinical Psychology in India where she trained in both, in-patient and out-patient psychiatric settings.

Dr. Vadrevu started as a practicum student with CJA in 2018-2019, and joined the practice in 2020, after finishing her internship in Texas. She provides psychological assessment and treatment.

Dr. Vadrevu works with adults individually and also offers couples counselling. Based on the clients’ needs, she uses an integrated approach to treatment including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), mindfulness, person-centered, and experiential techniques.

Dr. Vadrevu works with people experiencing mood-related difficulties including anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, panic attacks, trauma related disorders including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), adjustment to life transitions including adjustment to brain injury, grief/bereavement, immigration, identity related issues including racial/socio-cultural, sexual, and gender identity related issues.
